START YOUR

NEW LIFE NOW!

"
I learned the hard way that my happiness was down to me, nobody else can make you happy.  Food certainly doesn't, money doesn't and relationships do not.
First, you need to be happy with yourself, to love yourself, to have dreams and goals, to reevaluate your goals regularly.
Quotes:
Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase ~ Martin Luther King Jr.
14 things proven to make you happy

Start with a good dose of gratitude.

Do you give to charity on a regular basis?  How many times do you pass the homeless person in the street?  Wondered how they got there?  Even if you are short of money, you could always give your time. Spend 5 minutes talking to the old lady sitting on the park bench, younever know, you could learn something.  See everyone as your teacher, we are all continuously learning on our journey in life.

Be thankful. Be grateful with what you have & thank the universe.  BE CONTENT !!!!!

 Make sure you're giving back.

Laugh (Laughter is the best medicine, as they say !!)

Even if you're having the worse day ever, find something to laugh about.  Whether its a memory, a good book, a movie or the obsurdity of the days events.  Laugh about it.

4 Foster Good relationships

Spending too much time alone can be linked with loneliness and depression.  Spend time with family and don't put it off, you never know how long you have them in your life for.  They are your support network and you are theirs.

5 Take some alone time.

Whether it's painting, knitting, going to the gym, baking.  Even better if you can make what you love your employment too.

 Do what you love.

8  Get enough exercise

Exercising helps reduce stress and has many other health benefits including releasing oxytocin (the happy hormone!)

We all make mistakes, we're all human (well at least I think so anyway!) The trick is learning from those mistakes and moving on.  Look at it as a lesson.

9  Avoid Regrets.

10  Meditate

Sit down, light a candle, relax, do some deep breathing. ' In with the good, out with the bad.'

11  Sort out your clutter, simplify

De-clutter.  Organise yourself.  Set your very own 30 day challenge.  Sort out files, paperwork, kitchen cupboards.  Sort out 1 item per day for a month.

12  Get enough rest

Record that late night series you can't miss if your life depended on it.  Get an early night, your body will thankyou for it.  Not always easy when you have children but put them to bed an hour earlier and get that well needed extra sleep, or as all new mothers are told, you sleep when they sleep.

13  Eat Healthier Foods

Cannot stress this point enough.  'You are what you eat'. if you are constantly eating fast food, crisps, biscuits, take aways, your body will react to it.  Try starting with a healthy eating plan.  See health sub heading above.

Being a mum I know how importat this is.  Taking time out for yourself is healthy and don't feel guilty about it.

 Volunteer your time.

When you give your time to others it helps shift the focus on to someone elses life instead of your own.  Maybe help out at the local foodbank or even school fete.

14  Don't compare yourself to others

This is especially true in this day and age where photos are photoshopped.  But even 'keeping up with the Joneses' syndrome should be avoided.  See point 1. Be content.  The happier you are with yourself, the less likely you are to compare yourself to others.  This is your life, your journey.
