I started the Cambridge Weight loss Programme on June 4th 2015 and I'm hoping to lose approximately 3 stone. I HATE this picture (below) its me at my heaviest but hoping as the weight comes off to post photos to help motivate and encourage others.
The day it became apparent I needed to lose weight. I was at the hospital having my annual steroid joint block and was asked to hop onto the scales.....OMG I nearly cried. 88kilograms. I wasn't worried about the pain of the needles anymore, just concerned how I'd managed to put on 1 stone in a year.
'Life begins at 40' they say, sooooo turning 40 in September is my trigger to change my life, re-evaluate.
*What do I want?
*What do I want to achieve?
*What do I need to do to achieve this?
So first things first, I need to stop smoking, this should be easy have done it before, can do it again. Just need a little willpower and one of those e-ciggy things. Need to lose weight and be happy with myself, stop avoiding family photos (or just photos in general). My friend Aga started the Cambridge diet and lost around 3 stone, seemed to work for her, so maybe I should give it a go. *What do I have to lose? Absolutely nothing except for the 3 stone I've put on from years of chinese takeaways, imparticular sweet & sour chicken balls (hmmm) and Dominos Pizza (yummy) finishing off girls dinners so as not to waste food. Ooh best not forget fish, chips & mushy peas and the occasional battered sausage, especially as we've moved closer to a fish and chip shop.
Well I think we have found out where the extra weight has come from.
